Item 8.01 Other Events.

Virios Therapeutics Inc. (the “Company”) has withdrawn its Application for Investigational New Drug (IND 157311) focused on the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (“IBS”) by its lead compound, IMC-1, as part of a larger pipeline opportunity assessment, including potential fatigue research opportunities that can be funded with existing cash resources.  The company will report out its plans for prioritizing and executing IBS, fatigue, and other viral mediated research related opportunities in Q1 of 2022.  The Company’s existing clinical trial program for the treatment of fibromyalgia by IMC-1 continues as previously disclosed.
